Possibly the slowest-working band in hardcore. But when they decide to actually do something, it’s never slow, uncommitted, or boring.

Malmö’s Manic Ride started ripping asses open back in 2016. After a demo, some line-up changes, and even a name change, they released their first 7” in 2019 on Refuse Records. In 2022, their celebrated debut LP A New Low was released by yours truly. Another three years passed before they were ready to record four new songs for an EP. Now we can finally announce the brand new Still Falling 7” EP.

This time recorded live at Ron Fury’s (Hard Pass, Slip) and mastered by Matte P (Sceleris), this new EP delivers a much rougher, more unpolished Manic Ride, but always with precision and an eye for detail. As tradition has it, Manic Ride picks the raisins from the hardcore cookie and draws inspiration from an almost insanely diverse range of sources, including GBH, Poison Idea, Youth of Today, Sheer Terror, and Government Issue.

Key words and mottos: speed, filth, negative mental attitude, and finally hard, not heavy. Manic Ride is truly an oddball in Swedish hardcore, refusing to follow any set standards or belong to a certain herd. They exist outside any subscene and can play to any punk crowd. And in an age of streamlined products, Manic Ride is exactly what you need.
